[Cursillo] My thanks to you all

Dear  Friends: 
I’ve struggled in attempts  to write this letter because I am wish to let you 
know that I am resigning the  position of President of the Oregon Cursillo 
Secretariat effective immediately.  During this past Spring I have experienced a 
gradual dawning as part of the  “letting go” process that my term would end 
prematurely and at the Women’s  Clausura it was confirmed that “it was time.” 
I need time to take stock of what  I have accomplished and what I have not 
done. I need time to evaluate my  successes and assess my disappointments before 
I lead my team as Rectora for the  Fall-Co-Ed Cursillo weekend. 
I thank you for the  opportunity to serve you and the Cursillo Community of 
Oregon which was a pretty  big proposition for me almost a year and a half ago. 
I tried to lead the  community in the direction that I thought was best and 
at the same time adhering  to my deepest values for the Cursillo Movement. My 
energy level now is  about depleted and I find myself needing to take care of  
me. 
The Cursillo Movement is  very dear to my heart and I will still and always 
be involved at some level of  leadership within the Servant Community. I plan 
to attend Ultreyas and other  events, plus visit online in group reunion. I 
have arranged to  spend a weekend in June in retreat to discern my role within 
the Cursillo  community and I will see you at Diocesan Convention.   
I have asked a dear friend  to be prayerful as he considers the opportunity 
to lead this community by taking  over my term. Please lift him up in prayer as 
he discerns this call. The  Secretariat, the Servant Community and the Oregon 
Movement will always be in my  prayers and thoughts as you are led by the  
Almighty. 
When I moved here in 2003,  I never imagined that I would meet a bunch of 
caring God-fearing folks, as I  have met here in the Oregon Cursillo Movement. 
You have made an “outsider”  feel welcomed. I look forward to many more walks 
down the trail  together.
