Our fellow cursillista, Oregonian, and brother in Christ, Rod Sato went into the hospital, last month I believe, with abdominal pains. They thought it was his appendix, so they operated and discovered that it was colon cancer. He has received his first chemo treatment and is doing well. To the friends of Mom and the oodles I am too tired to remember at this point. Mom died this morning March 10/07 at 9:45 at St. Vincent surrounded by the family in peace and pain free. Cardiac arrest and lower GI bleed took her life. It was quick and Mom was at peace with the Lord. Just yesterday morning Mom helped do ' or derv ' trays for a funeral at St.James. An avid Christian with faith abounding cushioned the way home. Mom is a full body donor and after all her body can do for science , her eyes go the Lyons for further research of MD. It will take a couple weeks for _www._ (http://www.biogift.com/) BIOGIFT.com to use her and ship the cremations to Portland. We will have further details on Mom's celebration of life.
