Dear all:
Thank you for the help with my prayer table. Those students in attendance
with pretty excited to see the list as they realized that a lot of what
Spiritual Directors do will be to guide Directees towards a closeness with their
God. I thought I would share with you the list of spiritual aids that you use to
help you stay connect with our Lord.

Suggested Rule of Life Activities
* Read readings from different Biblical translations
* Whenever I need strength in prayer, I hum and sing "Jesus, remember
me ... when You come into your kingdom" and sing it again and again, quietly
or loudly, or just in my head. I sing it until I hear the harmonies of other
voices in my heart, then I can pray with focus.
* The Forward Day by Day as often as I remember -- looking up the
verses keeps me accountable.
* Feel what the Holy Spirit calls me to use at the moment.
* Journal work – spiritual and creative
* Fasting
* Celtic Prayer Book
* Quiet time with Coffee in the Morning
* Working in the garden
* Centering Prayer

* Daily Meditation on scripture verses
* Lenten Study or special studies
* Prayer beads or the Rosary
* Icons, statues or crosses
* Meditation, silence and solitude
