Subject: Update on Debbie Fullmer
Dear all:
God's doing Miracles...
Debbie called me, left word and I returned her call a few minutes ago.
Here's the scoop.
The angiogram came back "much better than expected, in fact a whole lot
better than expected" - her doctor's words. Her arteries are very small
about the same circumference of the cathedra that he had to use to do the
procedure. There are a couple that are blocked. He inserted nitro-glycerine
to see if it would expand the vessel and they did! PTL!! Treatment is first
drug therapy - no further surgery at this time for the heart. He needs to
get the Cholesterol down and has upped all her medications.
The left side carotid artery is still "not good" - doctor's words and he is
sending her to see a specialist.
In attempting to insert the cathedra he could not find any pulses in her
groins, feet or wrists. He asks, Are you even alive? I'm talkin' aren't I"
Debbie responds. They joked a bit but after some prodding found an entry in
the left groin. She has not had any "bleed out" which Debbie says is common
for her. Where ever and through out the body as they snake the cathedra
through the veins...she bleeds. Last angiogram she ended up with a blood
pool in her belly and that was quite painful.
She has to stay down (horizontal). Anyone who knows Debbie - that is a
miracle and an act of God right there! At the time of me talking with her
... Debbie said that Hannah (her dog) was sitting on her chest "pinning me
to the bed" and Curt's waiting on her. He has to check the incision site
hourly and through the night because of Debbie's bleeding history. If she
starts to bleed out - he has been ordered to call 911.
Her doctor has cleared her for her knee surgery which will be at 2:45 pm
tomorrow (Friday). She will probably be there a day or two. It's McKenzie -
Willamette Hospital.
She says this is power of prayer at work and truly felt every single one of
them. "Thanks to you all."
The awesome thing, I think, is that the angiogram came back better than
expected as we all knew it would and that the doctor is talking drug therapy
and no surgery! What a cool doctor!
I will keep you all updated. Curt will either e-mail or call me tomorrow
night.
Debbie sounded in good spirits although rightly wiped out and groggy from
everything (pain meds. I suspect).
He's holding her in the palm of His hands! Go God!
